BIO
Kirsten was raised on a beef cattle farm
in western Georgia by two devout Catholic, retired Air Force fighter pilots. Naturally, those impressionable years formed the person she is today: an animal-loving lesbian with a liberal arts degree and a deep-seated fear of flying.
Now, she’s a Teamster in LA, working on movies like Top Gun: Maverick and Killers of the Flower Moon by day. By nights and weekends, she writes delightful, fish-out-of-water, coming-of-age or workplace comedies.
She's a Barnard College's 2025-2026 Athena Film Festival Writers Lab Fellow, ScreenCraft Screenwriting 2024 Fellowship finalist, two-time ScreenCraft virtual pitch semifinalist, Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay semifinalist, and a second-rounder at Austin Film Festival.
In her free time, she and her wife enjoy recreating recipes from The Great British Bake Off.
